About the Author
Col (Retd) Kuldip Singh Dhami
Studied at The Lawrence School, Sanawar from 1948 to 1956.Joined NDA, Khadakwasla June '56. I was commissioned into the Armoured Corps (The Scinde Horse) on 12 June 1960.Volunteered in 1963 for the Parachute Regiment after the Indo-China conflict. Was instructor at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun from '68 to'70.Commanded 6 Para. Took early retirement on compassionate grounds on 1January 1983 after my father expired.
I was Bursar at The Lawrence School, Sanawar from November '94 to January '98. Besides my duties as Bursar which included all aspects of administration, I organized a gamut of adventure activities for students from day treks, annual camps to high adventure the following: Sanawar to Kanayakumari cycling expedition, Trans-Himalaya Cycling Expedition, River rafting on the Alaknanda, Trans-Himalaya Trek over the Great Himalaya Range in Kinnaur and Desert Cycle Safari in Rajasthan.
